Description
Macoun apple was raised at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station, Geneva, USA by Richard Wellington. Macoun is a good heavy cropper. I would be surprised if this apple has ever been grown in Ireland before. It is difficult to know how well this variety will perform in our climate but why not be the first to road test it. Macoun can be prone to canker so well drained soil is essential.
